Privacy policy

Short, because we collect very little.

The plug-ins

Reso Audio plug-ins collect no analytics and need no account. Your license key is checked on your own computer and stored there in a small file; it is never sent to us.

A plug-in only goes online when you click "Check for Updates". It then downloads a small file from benguerrero.com that lists the latest version. That request carries what any web request does (your IP address and a basic software identifier) and nothing else. Our web host keeps standard server logs of such requests for a limited time.

Buying a plug-in

Checkout is run by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, which collects your payment and billing details under its own privacy policy. We receive the order details we need: your email address, the order number, the product, the country, and the amount.

We use them to create your license key (it contains your email address), to email it to you, to answer support requests, and to process refunds. If an order is refunded, a one-way code derived from that key is added to a list built into later versions of the plug-in; it does not contain your email address.

Order records are kept on a computer we control for as long as you may need your license re-sent, and as long as tax and accounting law requires. License emails are sent through our email provider (IONOS). We do not sell your data and we do not send marketing email unless you have separately asked to receive it.

This website

This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics. Its fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google, which receives your IP address and browser details. Our web host keeps standard access logs.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing support@resoaudio.com. We will delete what we can; we keep only what the law requires us to keep (for example, sales records) and the refund code above, which cannot be traced back to you by itself. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK, or California) you may have further rights, and you may complain to your local data protection authority.

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
